Introduction
Throughout the long history of human civilization, we have used a variety of natural materials as ornaments. One of the most important of these materials has been gems. Gems have fascinated people throughout the ages because of their beauty, brilliance, and indestructible power.
There are various types of gems, but most of them are minerals formed inside the Earth. From the wide variety of minerals found on our planet, only those that possess the adequate beauty, durability, and size to be able to capture the hearts of people are processed to become gemstones. Through the combination of various natural phenomena (geological activities), it is rare to find a mineral that meets all the requirements for a gem, and because of this rarity, gems have become even more precious.
In this exhibition, we will introduce the birth of gems from a scientific point of view and explain their transformation into beautiful jewelry, through more than 200 kinds of gems in the shape of rough and loose, and historically and aesthetically valuable, breathtakingly gorgeous jewelry. You will be able to contemplate the miraculous workings of the earth and the trajectory that people have followed to behold the beauty of gems.
