Feature and Habit |
---|
They have a short head and beak. The flippers are long and tapered toward the tip. The dorsal fin locates almost middle of the body, and is high, falcated, separately colored like edge of a sickle. Color pattern of the body is well defined; black dorsally, grayish white laterally at the flipper and striped white parts along the body sides. The ventral side is white. The beak is black. A dark stripe runs between the mouth and the flipper. In general, they inhabit in offshore waters. They distribute in the deep sea in the coastal area. They make large pods. |
