Feature and Habit |

The body is slender and long. They have a round and tapered head with no beak and a straight mouth line. The flippers are long, slender, pointed at the tip and have a conspicuous projection at almost middle of the leading edge. The dorsal fin locates at almost middle of the body length and is moderately high. The whole body is black. They have a distinct, gray anchor-shaped pattern on the ventral side between the flippers. Each tooth row is 8-11 teeth. They inhabit in offshore waters. They make large pods. |
