Body elongate. Supraorbital cirrus present. No labial disk behind lower lip. Gill opening continuous across ventral surface of head. Soft rays of caudal fin unbranched. Color: body grayish, with indistinct dark grayish bands; dorsal fin with orangish band distally; anterodorsal portion of dorsal fin blackish. Size: attaining to 10 cm. Distribution: widespread in tropical Indo-West Pacific. Remarks: occurring on supralittoral zones or rocky shores. (Hisashi Imamura)
