Body elongate. Orbital cirrus absent. Cirrus on posterior margin of anterior nostril. Gill opening continuous across ventral surface of head. Dorsal fin with deep notch. Caudalfin rays unbranched. Color: body pale brown with 3 dark brown stripes, dorsalmost slenderest; head brownish with small, dark, round or oblong spot dorsally on each side of midline; slender, dusky stripe coursing suprabasally along interradial membranes of dorsal fin; interradial and longest ray of pelvic fin darkly dusky. Size: attaining to 3 cm. Distribution: restricted distribution from Andaman Sea and Sumatra to Java. (Hisashi Imamura)
