Body relatively elongate. Snout long and pointed. Mouth small, supraterminal. Color: body green with many small orange spots and a black blotch on caudal fin. Size: maximum 9 cm. Distribution: widely distributed in tropical Indo-West Pacific from East Africa eastward to Solomon Islands, north to southern Japan. Remarks: a popul a r aqua r ium f i sh; f e eds exclusively on polyps of Acropora corals.
