Body moderately deep and compressed. Opercle, subopercle, preopercle and interopercle serrate. Teeth on jaws uniserial. Caudal fin weakly emarginate; no conspicuous projecting spine-like rays at upper and lower edges of caudal-fin base. Color: head, body and fins reddish orange; a large black blotch on posterior half of body. Size: 11.0 cm SL. Distribution: Andaman Sea and West Pacific. Remarks: found in coral reefs; symbiotically associated with anemones Entacmaea quadricolor and Heteractis crispa.
