Amphiprion ocellaris Cuvier, 1830 False Crown Anemonefish

Body moderately deep and compressed. Opercle, subopercle, preopercle and interopercle serrate. Teeth on jaws uniserial. Caudal fin weakly emarginate; no conspicuous projecting spine-like rays at upper and lower edges of caudal-fin base. Color: ground color of head, body and fins orange, with three broad white bars; fins with marginal or submarginal narrow black areas. Size: 8.0 cm SL. Distribution: East part of Indian Ocean, Andaman Sea and West Pacific. Remarks: found in coral reefs; symbiotically associated with anemones Heteractis magnifica, Stichodactyla gigantea and Stichodactyla mertensii.
