Body ovate, compressed. Posterior margin of preopercle serrate. Suborbital naked, with serrate ventral margin. Teeth on jaws biserial, incisor-like. Caudal fin emarginate; no conspicuous projecting spine-like rays at upper and lower edges of caudal-fin base. Color: head, body and fins light blue or green; head, nape belly and dorsum of body with numerous small sky spots or short lines; a dusky spot tinged with blue or green at dorsal end of gill opening. Size: 8.5 cm SL. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific. Remarks: found around isolated coral patches in lagoons.
