Badan memanjang, fusiform; 2 postmaxillary process; gigi berbentuk kerucut kecil pada rahang, vomer dan palatine; ujung sirip punggung dan sirip dubur dengan sisik; tidak terdapat garis atau garis lebar pada sisi-sisi badan; ujung atas cuping sirip ekor merah gelap sampai hitam.
