It is our great pleasure to present “Mammals 2” which is a sequel exhibition to the highly praised previous exhibition “Mammals” held in consecutive two phases for the terrestrial and aquatic groups here in the National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo in 2010.　After 9 years since then, mammals have come back to Ueno. We have selected the theme of this exhibition, “Struggle for Life”, focusing on the mammals’ tremendous ways to develop their various physical appearances with unique abilities by adapting to diverse environments.
